Car stereo experts agree. The single best thing which you can do to improve car audio sound reproduction is to upgrade to quality aftermarket speakers. Without doing anything else to your car's audio system, you will experience clear, vibrant, and evenly spread sound as well as hear aspects of songs you probably were not even aware of. Of course, if you've decided to upgrade your entire sound system, new speakers should be at the top of the list of components to be replaced.
What's Wrong With Your Factory Speakers?
There is significant difference in design and materials between original equipment and aftermarket speakers. Car audio is not of such vital importance to vehicle manufacturers as engines and brakes. Factory systems are typically built to a price, using cheap materials, namely low grade paper cones, foam surrounds, and small magnets. As the result we get poor sound, and forasmuch as the materials can not withstand the environment in a typical car, they deteriorate and the sound gets even worse.
What's So Good About Aftermarket Speakers?

- Woofer cones are made from high-grade paper and polypropylene that is blended with other materials, coated, or injection molded. The result is improved bass output.
- Tweeters are constructed with silk or silk/polymer composite. This material construction ensures a "silky-smooth" tone and high accuracy of reproduction.
- Speaker surrounds are made from butyl rubber and urethane. Unlike stock surrounds typically manufactured from foam and paper, those used in aftermarket units are more durable and ensure better bass reproduction.
Full Range Design
We offer both full range and component speakers in a wide variety of sizes and wattage. Full range systems come in 2-way or 3-way versions. 2-way speakers which are also known as coaxials, have a woofer for low, bass tones, and a tweeter for high notes. 3-way ones have a mid-range driver in addition to a woofer and tweeter. The full range speakers are ideal for replacing factory originals, because they can be installed in the same locations, usually in the door panels. They will become a good solution for those who have limited space inside the vehicle to mount speakers. This type will also help upgrade the stereo system of your auto with a minimum of effort and time.
Build a Component System
As the name suggests, component speakers are separate units which are specially designed to be used within a system. Typically, a component system has two tweeters, two woofers, and a crossover. The crossover is wired in between the amplifier and speakers. The function of the crossover lies in separating the high and low frequencies and send them to the appropriate speakers, in this manner reducing distortion. Upon the condition that you have the mounting space, component systems provide the possibility to position the speakers within the cabin which ensures excellent sound quality you are actually expecting to get. Tweeters should be mounted higher in the cabin than woofers.
Complete the Installation
The speaker wattage, the amount of power it can handle, should be matched to the power output of the amplifier. Always go by the RMS, or continuous power output rating, not the peak power rating. All speakers also have a sensitivity rating. Those with a high sensitivity rating will work better and be louder with a lower powered amplifier, while lower sensitivity rated units are better in a powerful system.
