A New Way to Use your Trunk

Trunk mounted racks can be adjusted to fit a variety of vehicles. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other types, and the adjustable straps make them easy to install. Most trunk holders carry 2 or 3 bikes cradling the frame tubes on 2 rack arms, but platform trunk accessories that carry the bicycles by the wheels are also available. On many trunk-attached supports, the arms fold down for storage and to make parking easier when not carrying bikes.

Put it on the Roof

You have the most options when selecting a roof rack. Fork mount carriers secure the front fork to the rack with a skewer for maximum stability. Wheel mount carriers don’t require front wheel removal and are an excellent choice if you have different kinds of bicycles and want to protect the frame. Frame mount carriers can be used with just about any type of bike and are easy to load and secure. Each of these holders can be easily attached to your base roof rack and there’s usually space for multiple carriers. Plus you have the convenience of being able to leave the accessory in place when not hauling anything.

Leave Your Troubles Behind

The low height of a hitch mount rack makes it the easiest to load of any analogs. Hitch holders are available to fit 1 ¼'' and 2'' receivers and many fit both. Choose from arm type carriers that can carry up to 5 bicycles on the frame tubes, or platform types that cradle up to 4 bikes at the wheels. Platform type hitch mounts can secure the bicycles at the wheels or the frames. Some models have a tilt-away feature that allows access to the rear of the vehicle, but the load must first be removed. Premium hitch accessories may have a swing-away feature which provides rear vehicle access without having to remove the bikes.

Truck Bed Ideas

The bed of a pickup truck is a convenient, easily accessible place to carry one or more bikes, but just laying them on their sides isn’t the best idea if you want to prevent scratches or more serious damage. We have a variety of truck bed racks that could hold your bicycles on their forks, wheels, or frames, and even simple tailgate pads. Such an accessory allows bicycles to be draped over the tailgate without risking to damage the equipment or truck. And if your SUV has a rear mounted spare, consider making use of it for carrying a bicycle with an easy to install and easy to load and unload spare tire mount accessory.

Secure your load properly to avoid damages.
Lock your load to the accessory and then its frame to the vehicle to prevent theft.

Does the Job

SportRack® SR4885 - Upshift Plus Roof Mount Bike Rack

The bike rack fits properly. With 2 point attachment and 1 frame attachment bike should be secure. I haven't ordered my bike yet. I was disappointed in the minor imperfections. The end caps fall off easily so I glued them to the metal frame. The rectangular plastic piece to both end caps came undone so I glued those. The side groves of the bar was bare metal. They painted the majority black but those side crevices the paint didn't reach. So it was like an incomplete paint job. I touched it up and it looks fine.
